World Wide Warrriors

The Warriors might not win the World Cup this summer, but we’re certainly winning the hearts and minds of people around the world.

Rotenburg/Soca VillageWe’re already beloved by the people of Rotenburg, where the Warriors will be based. According to tagesspiegel.de, the town is set to host a welcome fete for the Warriors’ arrival there in June, and will be transforming their marketplace into a Caribbean beach, complete with palm trees and sand. (English translation available here, courtesy e-man)

Wrexham Warriors' Car FlagEven the Welsh are behind us: the Wrexham Supporters Trust is selling T&T car flags on its website. Bahrain hero Dennis Lawrence is the squad captain, and Carlos Edwards, now playing for Luton, used to ply his trade there.

Even some of the English will be (secretly) backing us come June 15th: tonight Port Vale FC will be hosting a reception in celebration of Warriors Hector Sam and Chris Birchall.

Updated: As e-man pointed out in the comments, Falkirk FC also has a TnT line. I wonder what their sales are like.

Warriors taking over town.
