Wisdom of the Aged & Exuberance of the Youths
What’s age got to do with it?
That’s the question on everyone’s lips these days, what with Theo Walcott being picked for England at the ripe old age of 17.
At the other end of the spectrum, the Soca Warriors are going to be oldest team lining up in June.
Here’s a bit of sports trivia: The Black Stars are the youngest team in the World Cup this summer, with an average age of 24.6
The Soca Warriors, on the other hand, are collectively 28.6 – accounting for the span between Kenwyne Jones (21) and Russell Latapy (37).
Age and experience, youth and fresh legs. A winning combination, really.
Pardon the optimism – I’m still chipper about Barca’s nail-biting finish over Arsenal yesterday.
