Warriors Going Once, Going Twice…
eBay and the Soca Warriors are teaming up - eBay is an “official partner” of the Trinidad and Tobago national team.
Said Guatam Thakar of eBay India Marketplace, “We are thrilled with the partnership between eBay and the Trinidad and Tobago national football squad. The Soca Warriors play a relaxed, highly artistic game and are more cheerful while they’re at it than any other team. That fits perfectly with eBay.”
The televisionpoint.com article says that eBay intends to make T&T “the most supported team in the 2006 competition.”
I’m always a bit uneasy about corporate involvement with sport, but given the failure of the T&T government to demonstrate any sort of commitment to the Warriors, well - eBay has my bid.
