Warrior Profile: Dennis “Tallest” Lawrence
March 22nd, 2006 | By: Stacy-Marie Ishmael | No Comments »
We’ll never be able to say for certain, but it’ s quite likely that Trinidad and Tobago wouldn’t have qualified for the World Cup without Dennis Lawrence.
In the 49th minute of T&T’s crucial match against Bahrain, Lawrence headed a Dwight Yorke cross into goal. Final score: 1-0 and World Cup qualification for Trinidad and Tobago.
The 31 year old, 6ft 6in Wrexham skipper is a consistent and talented defender, and is virtually guaranteed a spot in Beenhakker’s starting eleven in June. Lawrence has been representing his home country internationally since 2000. He will definitely do us proud in Germany.
