The Pop World Cup
In my obsessive quest to find all things Warrior-related on the Web, I came across the Pop World Cup.
Compelling concept, wittily executed. The premise of the site is that teams battle it out on the basis of songs from their countries – the winner is decided by popular vote.
Trinidad whipped Ecuador 2-0 in our last musical matchup. The old school soca stylings of Trinidad’s Nikki Crosby outclassed Ecuador’s pop-nouveau Paul Avion & Par Avion Band. This after we walked all over Group B, qualifying as winners and leaving England to eat our dust in second place.
Great concept. Can’t wait for England vs Trinidad, because you know those Embrace lads are going to be “uncercemoniously dumped on their behinds” by Maximus. Hey – I’m just quoting the Telegraph.
