Swedish Soca Rebels
May 27th, 2006 | By: Stacy-Marie Ishmael | No Comments »
After the outpouring of support from the Irish, the Welsh and the ‘Trinidad and Tobago Tartan Army‘, I suppose it was only a matter of time before one of our European opponents got behind our cause.
What’s that? Yep – a Swedish soca band, the Soca Rebels, have penned a Warriors tribute song.
The Trinidad Guardian reports that “the song, titled Warriors and Rebels, is currently enjoying heavy rotation on the airwaves in New York and Sweden.”
The Soca Rebels are the first and only Swedish soca band. Love up the culture, and thanks for the support guys!
