See Hoyte Run
T&T Coach Leo Beenhakker seems intent on raiding the English Premiership for talent. He has his sights set on Justin Hoyte, a versatile defender who is equally at ease playing right back or as a center sweeper. Hoyte is signed with Arsenal, but is on loan to Sunderland for the 05-06 season. The 21-year-old has 8 international caps for England.
Like Jlloyd Samuel and Bobby Zamora, Hoyte seems to be ineligible to join the Warriors. FIFA regulations specify that a player must decide on his national team alleigance by his 21st birthday, and Hoyte has been playing for England.
I’m a bit baffled by Beenhakker’s demurrals about the potential of getting these players. What tricks has he got up his sleeve?
