One More Magic Trick for Latapy
Nearing the age of 38, the Little Magician hopes he has a few more tricks up his sleeve. Russell Latapy has defied logic by continuing to play solid soccer despite his advanced age. This profile from the Scottish papers gives a good background on a player who could be a difference maker this summer for the Soca Warriors.
“I am going because every player’s dream is to play for your country in the World Cup,” he says. “But I honestly also think I have something to contribute. I wouldn’t have agreed if I thought I would be taking up the space of a younger player who could perhaps offer something more.”
