Odds on T&T

April 26th, 2006 | By: Stacy-Marie Ishmael | 3 Comments »

Sure, Mexico has better odds to win the Cup, at 25-1 vs our 1000-1. Sure, you could bet on Ronaldinho to take home the Golden Boot award. Instead, why don’t you live a little and gamble on the Duke?

I don’t gamble, primarily because I never, ever win. Still, it is my duty at T&T WCBlogger to inform you of the various aspects of Warrior-ness around the world - including the chances of Dwight Yorke going home with the adidas Golden Shoe award.

Alas, Dwight’s no golden shoe-in: Sportingodds.com has him down at 250-1. Nonetheless, this is the World Cup and there’s nothing quite like football to inspire irrational exuberance. Yeah, alright - that dotcom boom excepted.

Stacie, I like your tips on gambling. Any more? How many goals will Hislop block? Will Dennis Lawrence swoop from defense to score a round 1 game winner to catapult T and T into the second round? What more can we bet on?

Adam, will try to make it a regular feature as we get closer to the games. Look out for odds on individual games next week.
