May 11th 2006 – A Day of Firsts & Lasts

May 10th, 2006 | By: Stacy-Marie Ishmael | 1 Comment »

I have a huge exam tomorrow, but I’m buzzing with excitement (and blogging instead of revising my French literature – disaster!).

Warriors - shooting for the moonTonight, T&T will face Peru in an important friendly. Tonight, the legendary Little Magician will play his last game on home soil. Tonight, for the first time in history, the Anthem of the West Indies will be sung. Tonight, I will be tuning in to a live skypecast of the game, wishing, wishing that I could be there.

No scene! Pure vibes.

Stay tuned to the blog today – there’s much more to come.

You can bet the steelpans will be out in full force in the stands. Can you believe FIFA has banned steelpans at the World Cup? Another example of the football officials showing their disregard for fans. [...]
