Brrrr, It’s Cold
The Soca Warriors convened today in London to prepare for their upcoming friendly against Iceland and discovered something we’ve all known all along: London winters suck. It was cold and blustery as 18 of the 20 players were put through a workout by coach Leo Benhakker. Said captain Dwight Yorke:
“Yea but this weather is a bit cold especially when I’m coming from Australia where it’s 30 degrees and then you have the lads coming over from the sun back home. But we will be able to adjust as quickly as possible.”
Another training session is set for tomorrow morning with kickoff against Iceland on Tuesday night. Even with the chilly conditions, you can bet there will be a fair number of Trinis in the crowd heating things up with a little dancin’ and a little singin’. Can’t wait to see the team in action!
