Boom Shakattack
(Oh come on, who could resist that headline?)
14:00 GMT – kickoff of the FA Cup final. I’ll be rooting for West Ham, primarily because Warrior goalie Shaka Hislop will be between the sticks against Liverpool.
2006 has been an amazing year for Shaka: West Ham, only recently promoted to the Premiership, is now in the finals of the FA Cup, and of course, Shaka’s in the running for starting keeper for the Warriors in Germany. Given Kelvin Jack’s impressive performance during the friendly against Peru, it’s likely that Hislop will also be out to impress upon Beenie that he ought to be the first-choice keeper.
The ever-excellent Lasana Liburd over at the Trinidad Express has a decent Hislop year-in-review.
Good luck Shaka, we’re rooting for you.
